While I’m trying to identify the culprit causing spam ads in my notification bar, I now have a new problem. Since I couldn’t easily identify the app causing the trouble, I started with uninstalling an app for Chess.com. Now, whenever I go into the android marketplace and click on “My Apps” I get an option for “Force Close” or “Send Report” with the message:
Sorry! The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
I was able to find a solution for this problem:

For me it worked to just go into Settings –> Applications –> Manage Applications –> Running
And then I selected Market and cleared the data. Luckily everything seems to be back to how it should be. If only I can manage to find out which app is spamming me now.
I tried that fix and didn’t work. Somebody else can help us.
I’m still having problems too. Now I frequently will have most of my apps disappear from the list. I can temporarily fix that by uninstalling updates to the market app. The next time I run it it will update and all of my apps are there. I am thinking I may need to do a factory reset as something must have gotten corrupted when I uninstalled the antispyware app.
I think I at least fixed the disappearing apps from my apps list. The problem started after I added another google account to the phone. I just deleted the second account and the problem went away. Unfortunately, I want that second account on my phone for a particular app. I’m going to have to search to see if anyone has a solution.
